Our Facebook fans already know how much we ADORE the Style Me Pretty Web site, which is aptly tagged as “obsessions for brides.” Yes, some of us are obsessed!

And when one of our obsessions takes notice of lil’ ole’ us on their uber-popular bridal blog, we get pretty giddy! You will adore browsing through the photos of this exceptionally elegant wedding at the Biltmore Estate. And yes, we helped Rachel and Dan tie their robin’s egg blue-and-brown color scheme into a to-die-for suite of Josie-themed invitations and table stationery. You can see some gorgeous shots of how they incorporated the stationery as a key décor element – a strategy we naturally adore! Using table stationery within your decoration plans really gives brides a big “bang for the buck” by making items you already have perform double duty. This couple was such a treat to work with – they chose North Carolina for their wedding after all!

(Special thanks to Barb Bobick for your super sweet comment about TGK on the Style Me Pretty blog!)

Ahhh – Inside Weddings! We lovelovelove this elegant style magazine and have been honored to have our products featured on their pages in the past. But we still get giddy when we find out one of our very own designs (!!!!) has been chosen for a pictorial mention in the pages of one of the top wedding magazines in the country. (Let’s just say Inside Weddings is rather particular about the wedding vendors they recommend.)
The Summer 2009 issue is on newsstands now. It’s worth picking up a copy, but we’ve taken the proud-parent angle of posting “our” page right here on the blog.
Isn’t the Cari invitation stunning in citrus orange and pink?

Yeah, we’re kind of a big deal!
The Green Kangaroo strikes again!! Two news spots in the same week! ABC Channel 11 News Super Saver Thursdays featured ways to get a “magazine” styled wedding look for less. Wedding planner Karen Clark, owner of Something Borrowed, Something Blue discussed ways to get similar but less expensive table decor, wedding cakes and yes – wedding invitations – from the Green Kangaroo. The invitations featured were our Coast Couture Ava invitation (average price $14.75 each), our Claudia invitation with a coastal theme (average price $7.20 each) and our Coastal Abby invitation (average price $4.50 each). Check out the video!
Don’t forget ladies – we want you to have wedding invitations that have your guests saying “that is so you”. We also don’t want you living on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for your first year of wedded bliss because you spent more than you could afford on your special day. If you love our style, but we are just out of your price range – STAY TUNED! We will be launching our much anticipated Fresh and Frugal Collection at the end of this week! Want a sneak peek?
Happy Tuesday!
Hi Ladies – hope this Friday is treating you well!
We wanted to share with everyone that TGK was featured in a recent newspaper article about how brides can take advantage of the current economic “times” to get married for less. The article, in Raleigh’s News and Observer, talks about ways that business owners are helping brides to plan weddings that are beautiful, yet gentle on the pocketbook. The article mentions The Green Kangaroo’s very popular DIY option in which we assist brides in designing and professionally printing their wedding invitations, then allowing them to complete the assembly themselves – saving roughly 15%.
Read more (and even see photos of some TGK employees!) on the News & Observer website.
Happy Friday!
A simple blog entry can not express how proud we are of our full page feature in the May/June 2009 issue of Brides Magazine.
Our Couture Collection performed exceptionally well in March, and we can only hope that its success will continue with such positive exposure!
The May/June 2009 issue of Brides Magazine is a great read, and is currently on newstands nationwide. You can find our Couture Coastal Ava on page 150.

Thank you to the wonderful staff, editors and photographers at Brides Magazine!
Another win for TGK! Yay!
We are excited to announce that TGK has 2 invitations in the “You’re Invited” Editorial Feature of Inside Weddings Fall 2008 issue!
Both our Madison and Kate Wedding Invitations were pictured as part of the “Metallica” theme in this issue. The Autumn season is a great time to work in these rich shades of bronze, chocolate and gold – although – our design team feels that these hues add sparkle and depth to weddings in any season!

The Madison was pictured with a custom envelope liner in soft gold shimmer. A great way to dress up this invitation theme with a classic monogram watermark. Looking to save a little, the Madison has a DIY option (meaning you glue the invitation onto the base layer) which can save you $1.10 for each invitation!
Stay tuned, the Kate, already clean and modern in style, will be getting some exciting new updates to its design in the next couple of weeks!

We just learned that one of our wedding invitations has been featured in the summer issue of Inside Weddings!

The featured invitation is our Couture Coastal Shimmer Ava, pictured on page 38.

Here are some additional photos of the Couture Coastal Ava. The first one has a bahama blue wrap with a white finger starfish as shown in Inside Weddings.

The second shows a champagne shimmer wrap with sand dollar accent.

We’re excited to share that one of our invitations has been selected for a feature in Bridal Guide magazine! They contacted us about submitting several designs for different categories of their “Party Planner” feature in the July/August 2008 issue. The one they selected is in the “Modern Chic” section – a modern, architecture-inspired wedding invitation we’ve named the Naomi. Its on page 70 of that issue.
Here are some photos of the Naomi. The first one is in chartreuse (that’s the one shown in Bridal Guide) and the second one is done in pumpkin. You can check out all of the options for customizing this invitation over on Naomi’s product page.
