As is so often the case in the Internet surfing I call “business research,” I’ve come across another idea of something I wish I’d done for my own wedding all those years ago.Wonderful Graffiti Wedding produces designs, monograms, meaningful quotations – pretty much anything you can think of – on very thin pieces of matte vinyl that can be easily attached to (and easily removed from) smooth surfaces. I love the idea of customizing a focal wall in a reception site with the new couple’s monogram! Or carrying an element of your wedding theme (a customized graphic from TGK of course!) even further by enlarging and posting it where guests enter. You can even have your menu printed and displayed on the wall behind the buffet! Endless possibilities …

Check out Wonderful Graffiti Wedding and let us know if you decide to “tag” your wedding with some graffiti of your own!

Inside Scoop: Using College Logos & Other Copyrighted Images

It’s a lucky couple that gets to tie the knot in a location that holds a special meaning. When one of our customers got married in the Duke University chapel, TGK designed a divine program featuring a sketch of the structure’s landmark gothic tower. Incorporating this unique image into the design and motif of the wedding stationery set the tone for the wedding and was a fabulous way for the couple to communicate the specialness of the place to their guests.

If you’re considering incorporating images from your college days into your wedding stationery, you should to begin the process of securing written permission from the school as soon as you can. If you are holding your ceremony or reception at an on-campus site, like our Duke University couple did, the person you are working with at the facility can most likely point you in the right direction for obtaining the appropriate permissions. By taking care of this step in advance, you’ll speed the process of getting exactly the look you want for your college-inspired wedding invitations!

Fun Summer Wedding Table Ideas

My family and I are going to the beach next week and I was thinking about all the fun summer wedding invitations we have designed recently. As I mentioned last week, we have a number of brides getting married at the beach but are having a “coastal” themed wedding instead of a ‘tropical” one. I am always thrilled to see how creative they are with their reception decor. These adirondack chair place card holders from Beau Coup go perfectly with our custom place cards. Lighthouse, sea oats, or star fish themed place cards would look fabulous with these guys!

Put these together with a matching menu and your table is all set!
